2011-2012 Hunting Proclamations

The new 2011-2012 Non Tribal Member Hunting Proclamation and the Application Form are now available for download from the Hunting Menu of the website. The updated Guide List will be available after 3/15/2011.

Horse Lake Mesa Bull Elk Hunt Update 2/28/2011

Thanks to the elimination of Trophy Fees in the Horse Lake Mesa Game Park for 2011, we are booking up at a tremendous rate.

The remaining hunt dates are listed below and are expected to book up in the next few days. If you are interested in these hunts contact us ASAP at 575-759-3255

We require a $2,500 deposit to secure your hunt for 2011.

Sept. 1st-4th - 1 hunt available - $ 8,000 - This is the first hunt of the season!!!!

October 7th-10th- 4 hunts available- $6,000

Horse Lake Mesa Game Park Hunts 2011

The Jicarilla Game and Fish Department is pleased to announce that we are now booking hunts for 2011 in the game park. There are currently 20 Bull hunts available first come first served. Also, we are excited to let you know that we will not be charging trophy fees for the 2011 Bull hunts which offers a savings of up to $5,000. This is a tremendous opportunity and the hunts will book up fast. Please call us for dates and details.

The Game and Fish Department is now booking bull elk hunts for Horse Lake Mesa for 2010. There are currently 19 hunts available, which will be booked first come-first served. A $500 deposit is required to book these hunts. Please call the Game and Fish Department at 575-759-3255 for details.

There are still some premium Bull Elk Hunts available on the Jicarilla for fall 2009. The following hunt dates are open for booking:

Horse Lake Mesa Bull Hunts:
September 1-5 3 hunts
September 5-8 2 hunts
September 21-24 2 hunts
September 29-Oct 2 2 hunts
October 7-10 4 hunts

Reservation Bull Hunts:
Archery Bull September 26-30 3 hunts

Early Season Rifle Bull October 6-10 4 hunts
October 11-15 6 hunts

Late Season Rifle Bull December 18-22 3 hunts
December 23-27 3 hunts

We have had excellent rains and good grass production this year, and are expexting excellent antler growth. Opportunities for harvesting a great bull in 2009 are available first-come, first-served for these hunts. Please call 575-759-3255 for more information. The 2009 Hunting Proclamations and applications forms have been approved and should be available on the Website under the Hunting tab by Monday, March 10, 2009. Horse Lake Mesa Bull Elk Hunts will be sold 1st come- 1st served. All other Bull Elk, Cow Elk, and Mule Deer hunts will be issued by Random Draw. Call us at 575-759-3255 if you have any questions!
