Fishing Report 3/22/12
The Jicarilla Lakes are still in transition from ice to open water. Progress slowed down during the recent storm, but sunny warm conditions should persist through the weekend. It appears that we still have 2 to 3 weeks before complete ice out. Stone Lake is leading the way with Enbom close behind. Mundo Lake is still relatively locked up with only a small ring of open water along the shorelines. The largest area of open water at Stone Lake is in the SW cove near the RV park. The area is still very small and fishing would be difficult from the shore and inaccessible via a boat. We will report again next week on conditions. Have a great week!
