The deadlines for applying for Elk, Bear and Mule Deer Hunts are approaching. The final date for receiving applications are:

Archery Elk - May 8, 2008
Early Season Bull Elk - May 15, 2008
Late Season Bull Elk - May 20, 2008

Mule Deer (10-day Hunt) - May 22, 2008
Mule Deer Auction Bid - May 27, 2008

Horse lake Mesa Cow Elk - June 4, 2008
Reservation Cow elk - June 11, 2008

Fall Bear - June 17, 2008

The Bull Elk Hunts for Horse Lake Mesa are now booked soild-sold out. The Reservation Archery and Rifle Bulls elk hunts will be issued by random draw-please see the proclamation for details.

This year the Horse Lake Mesa Bull Elk Hunts will be sold firsts-come, first-served, with preference booking for clients who hunted in 2007. As a result, many of the hunts are already booked for 2008. There are just a few openings for the September 17-20 and October 3-7 dates, and those will probably book very quickly. So, if you are interested in hunting Horse Lake Mesa in 2008 please contact the Game and Fish Office as soon as possible.
For those hunters who are already booked for the 2008 Horse Lake Mesa Bull Elk Hunts, you will be receiving an invoice for the balance of your hunt by mail. The balance on your hunts is due May 30, 2008. Good Luck!
