Camping
Camping is permitted only at the designated fishing lakes (except Horse Lake); and at least one member of each camping party must have a valid Jicarilla fishing permit. Camping facilities vary from lake to lake (see below).
Mundo Lake
There are several covered shelters, with picnic table and tent sites as well as undeveloped sites with tables, located on the west side of the lake. Fire rings with attached grills are available at all camp sites. RV's are welcome but there are no hook-up available. Water is not available at Mundo Lake.
Enbom Lake
There are a few undeveloped camp sites at Enbom Lake, with tables and fire rings.
La Jara Lake
La Jara Lake has several covered shelters and picnic tables along the south and west shores; as well as fire rings at additional sites. Access to the camping sites is from Road J-15, on the south side of the lake.
Stone Lake
Stone Lake has a variety of camping options along its 3 miles of shoreline. There are shelters, picnic tables and fire rings at most sites. Tents and RV's are welcome at all of these sites. In addition there is a 24 unit RV park located immediately southwest of Stone lake on Road J-8. This graveled park has electricity, water, and sewer hook-ups for
RV's and camp trailers, with a spectacular view of Stone Lake and Horse Lake Mesa. These units are available first come-first served, and payment is made at a self-service unit, located at the park entrance.
Camping Fees
Camping and day-use vehicle fees are charged only at Stone and Mundo lakes. Fees will be collected at self-service pay stations.
